Artworks on Picture Frame Glass — Mitja Koetter

An unexpected application: the glass is removed from a picture frame, printed, and put back — the motif sits directly on the glass, not behind it.
Berlin-based artist Mitja Koetter (@mitjakoetter) developed an unusual format: glass is removed from standard picture frames, printed using UV direct print at the Glastrix studio, and then set back into the frame. The result is a framed artwork where the motif sits on the glass itself. Looking through the printed glass creates a depth and luminosity that a conventional paper print behind glass cannot achieve.
Outcome
Multiple picture frames with UV-printed glass for Mitja Koetter, Berlin — various sizes and motifs.
