Graffiti Wall Art as Glass Tiles for Piri's Berlin

Hand-drawn graffiti art restored as UV-printed glass tile wall โ€” Piri's restaurant Berlin

Hand-drawn wall art โ€” made permanent. An original graffiti-style mural was digitised, reworked, and printed across 24 glass tiles.

Piri's restaurant in Berlin had a challenge: an original, hand-drawn wall design โ€” a graffiti-style artwork โ€” was suffering from daily wear and tear in a busy restaurant. The owners wanted to preserve the artwork. Glastrix photographed the wall in seven shots, digitised and reworked the graphic, and printed the result across 24 glass tiles with the necessary mounting cut-outs. The tiles were then installed on the wall, showing the original hand-drawn artwork โ€” now permanent, scratch-resistant and easy to maintain.

Challenge

Digital reproduction of a hand-drawn wall mural from seven photographs, with correct colour correction and seamless alignment across individual tiles.

Outcome

24 UV-printed glass tiles mounted as a complete wall installation at Piri's restaurant, Berlin.
