A sign for a Berlin late-night shop — printed on black MDF. The colours pop exactly as much as the shop itself.
For the local Berlin Späti "Better Späti than Never", this promotional sign was produced on black MDF using UV direct print. The artistic concept was created by @mitjakoetter. The standout feature: black MDF as a print substrate gives the artwork a depth and intensity that lighter materials cannot achieve. UV print on a black base makes colours appear to glow from within — without any backlighting. The result now hangs at the entrance of the shop in Berlin-Kreuzberg.

Maximum colour vibrancy on a dark substrate without additional backlighting.
Outcome
